Greenstone Resident Charged With Trafficking Property Obtained by Crime

ARREST ON LONG LAKE #58 FIRST NATION

Long Lake #58 First Nation, ON – March 5, 2012 members of the Greenstone Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a warrant to enter a dwelling-house on Long Lake #58 First Nation Territory. It is alleged that the accused had sold property stolen from a tractor-trailer theft in early February and was located inside a dwelling in the community.

25 year old Tyler BOURGOIN of Long Lake #58 First Nation Territory was arrested and charged with trafficking in property obtained by crime and breaching probation. It is also alleged that he breached a Conditional Sentence Order. He was held in police custody to make an appearance at the Longlac Ontario Court of Justice on March 7, 2012.

The OPP would like to remind the public that if they have purchased stolen property they could be subject to criminal charges for possession of property obtained by crime.
