TERRACE BAY, ON – Eight of God’s children received their Confirmation on Saturday, June 8th , at St. Martin Church in Terrace Bay. The students have been preparing for this special celebration and reception of the sacrament under the direction of classroom teacher Mandy Godin and Father Alex Barrion. Mrs. Godin and her students worked diligently in preparing for this day and making every aspect of it a special experience for all.
Bishop Colli shared a beautiful homily, speaking eloquently about the Year of Faith and the representation of the students as Crewmates of a ship that is being guided by the Holy Spirit. Staff and parents were delighted to be able to celebrate such an important part of the students’ spiritual journey. Confirmation candidates, their sponsors and their families were invited to attend a luncheon following the celebration, prepared by the Catholic Womes’ League.
