Fireworks Finale at Red Rock’s Canada Day Celebrations

RED ROCK, ON – Red Rock’s 2014 Canada Day celebrations was a huge success. The festivities this year were held at the beautiful Red Rock Marina. The day started with a delicious brunch hosted by the Red Rock Royal Canadian Legion. The afternoon events began at 4:00 with the singing of O’Canada lead by Madeline Sheriff. Dinner was a fantastic barbeque served by the Red Rock Volunteer Fire Brigade at the Fish and Game Club. The Firefighters accepted a silver collection from all patrons. Money raised from this event will support the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Rosalee Belanger baked and decorate a huge Canada Day cake which was enjoyed by all.
The games began for children and adults of all ages at 5pm. Vendors were invited to set up their goods to showcase, the ice cream truck was a bit hit! Many prizes were awarded to the children who participated in the games. The Movie in the Park at 9:30 pm was great; thankfully it was watched inside the Fish and Game Club to keep out of the weather and the mosquitoes.
The day ended with a fantastic fireworks display at 11 pm. The Red Rock Volunteer Fire Brigade organized a beautiful show.
