St. Martin Student Council
TERRACE BAY, ON – During the 2014-2015 school year, St. Martin Student Council has planned a number of fundraising initiatives to assist Alex Halonen, a former Holy Angels School student now studying Grade 10 at Lake Superior High School, with his trip to Kenya.
Alex will be going to Kenya this summer to assist the Me to We Foundation with the building of a school. Due to the support of staff, students and families, student council was proud to share that they were able to raise $1029 through their endeavors. Student Council presented Alex with a cheque during our First Friday Celebration in April that focused on the virtue of Stewardship.
We look forward to hearing about his adventure when he returns to the school next year, as he has graciously offered to share his journey with the staff and students.
