Turn the clocks back- way back- to 1979 when Mel Gibson was an up and coming young actor with only a hand-full of acting credits under his belt. Despite his lack of experience, Gibson was cast to play the lead character in a bold and daring action movie titled “Mad Max”. The movie went on to gross a measly 8.75 million dollars at the box office, but it was on home video where it gained steam and seemingly out of nowhere became a cult classic. Gibson gained notoriety in his role as Max and went on to star in parts 2 and 3 of the now popular franchise. Here we are in 2015 and the Mad Max franchise has been rebooted. Tom Hardy takes on the role as Max in this week’s headline new release- Mad Max Fury Road. There are a six new releases in total this week with a brief synopsis of each below;
