Hornepayne Area Lodge Fined $3,000

OntarioMNRFA tourist operator in the Hornepayne area has been fined $3,000 for failing to pay land use fees.

Ontario Corporation Number 1138822 – Forde Lake Lodge Limited – was convicted for failing to pay in full prescribed annual land use fees, contrary to the Public Lands Act, and fined $3,000.

Court heard that the company failed to pay annual land use fees from May 1, 2013, to April 30, 2015, for an outpost camp located on Fraser Lake, north of Hornepayne. This is the second time the company has been fined for the same offence.

Justice of the Peace J. Carl Young heard the case in the Ontario Court of Justice, Peterborough, on October 8, 2015.
