MANITOUWADGE, ON – September 30th Manitouwadge Public School (MPS) was one of thousands of schools and sites across Canada united in remembrance of a very significant individual in our country’s history – Terry Fox.

Prior to setting out on the walk in memory of Terry’s courageous journey; MPS students, staff and parent participants were provided with a brief account of Terry’s perseverance during his run for cancer awareness, what he accomplished during his life and the work that continues, in his memory, today.

MPS’s enthusiasm for this meaningful charity continues year after year and this year was no exception with students and staff fundraising a whopping $913.25! An important reminder for students that small schools can do big things.

Congratulations to the thoughtful students and staff at Manitouwadge Public School for their heartfelt contribution to this very worthwhile cause!
