Since the day we’ve opened our doors here at Crossover Video and Games, Mark Wahlberg’s movies have always been a huge draw with our customers. Our number 1 renting movie since 2010 is “Contraband”, a gritty action movie starring Walhberg. Another very popular title dating back to 2010 is “The Other Guys”, a comedy featuring Wahlberg and Will Ferrell. Those two actors have joined forces once again to star in yet another hilarious comedy- “Daddy’s Home”, this week’s headline new release. Not to be outdone is the final film in the epic Hunger Game franchise- “Mockingjay Part 2” which also releases this week. There are a total of five new movies, with a brief synopsis of each below;

Daddy’s Home: starring Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell- An affable stepdad tries desperately to get his step-kids to like him. Just when it seems as though they are warming up to him, their motorcycle-riding biological father returns with plans of winning back his kids. Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2: starring Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson- As the war escalates leading to the destruction of other districts, Katniss, the reluctant leader of the rebellion, must bring together an army to try to take down President Snow. Backtrack: starring Adrien Brody- A Psychologist’s life is thrown into turmoil when he discovers that the patients he has been seeing are ghosts. Risking his own sanity, he delves into his past to uncover a terrifying secret which only he can make right. (Mystery/Thriller) (DVD) Also available to rent at 2 Doors Down in Manitouwadge!
Kill Kane: starring Vinnie Jones- A teacher’s world is torn apart when his wife and children are brutally murdered by a ruthless gang. Left for dead and with no one to turn to, he takes matters into his own hands and hits the streets looking for justice. (Action) (DVD)
Monster High Great Scarrier Reef- During a party at Monster High, the girls are pulled into the Great Scarrier Reef where Lagoona must confront her childhood memories and deal with her old enemy. (Kids) (DVD)
