CHAPLEAU, ON – On Wednesday June 01, 2016 members of the Superior East Chapleau Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a drug search warrant at a local Chapleau residence and arrested two males in relation to this investigation.
As a result Paul GALLANT (27) and Robert TESSIER (19) both of Chapleau were charged with the following offences;
- Adult- Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking under 3 kg (Cannabis) contrary to section 5 (2) of the Control Drug and Substance Act,
- Adult- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Other drugs contrary to section 5 (2) of the C.D.S.A
The accused were released from custody and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Chapleau Ontario on August 17, 2016.
