Marathon Male Arrested for Impaired Charge

MARATHON, ON –On December 30, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. members of the Marathon detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call of intoxicated subjects on the road, at Peninsula Road, Town of Marathon. 

The subjects were located by police operating a motor vehicle.  The vehicle was stopped and after speaking with the driver, it was determined that alcohol had been consumed.  The driver was arrested for Impaired Driving and returned to the Marathon detachment for investigation.

As a result of this incident, the 36 year old male driver, Milton Peter MCWATCH, of Marathon, ON has been charged with Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle While Impaired by Alcohol contrary to the Criminal Code.  The male is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Marathon on February 16, 2017 to answer to the charge.
