ONtour Concert in Blind River Celebrates Ontario’s 150th Anniversary

As part of a year-long line-up of events marking Ontario’s 150th anniversary and celebrating the province, the free ONtour concert series will provide the soundtrack for the Summer of ’17, stopping in more than 20 communities across the province and in Blind River on July 8, showcasing some of Ontario’s brightest musical talent.

The ONtour concert will partner with Blind River Community Days at Town Park. ONtour Blind River will feature Glass Tiger, Kira Isabella and another artist to be announced. All of the ONtour concerts are free and open to music-lovers of all ages and there are no tickets required.

“Music is magic — able to cross generational, cultural, and linguistic boundaries. ONtour is an opportunity for people from all walks of life to share in this communal experience, to build community pride, and to create cherished memories for years to come.”  Eleanor McMahon, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport

From Peterborough to Blind River, from Ajax to Kenora, from Hamilton to Sudbury, audiences will have the opportunity to attend a free concert featuring at least three acts. More than 50 Ontario artists will be part of the ONtour Concert Series and approximately 80,000 people are expected to attend the free concerts across the province.
