Box Office analysts were stunned when, upon analyzing the data, it was found that theatrical revenues for the summer of 2014 had hit an eight year low. Several big franchise movies did not reach expectations, continuing a trend that sees 2014 revenues running behind the pace of 2013. There are some movies, however, that have saved the box office from total disaster.This week’s headline new release is one of those movies. With a gross of nearly 260 million dollars, Captain America Winter Soldier was a huge hit with theatre goers and we expect it to be a hit with home viewers as well.
Captain America leads a week that features a total of six new releases;

A Good Man: starring Steven Seagal- After an illustrious special ops career ends in disaster, a man goes off the grid and attempts to live a quiet life as a handyman. But when one of his tenants gets mixed up with a Russian gangster, the man is dragged into an all-out war between rival Chinese and Russian gangs. (Action) (DVD)
The Double: starring Jesse Eisenberg and Mia Wasikowska- A shy and timid clerk in a government agency finds his life taking a horrific turn with the arrival of a new co-worker who is both his exact physical double and his opposite – confident, charismatic and seductive with women. Palo Alto: starring Emma Roberts, James Franco ant Nat Wolff- Three high-schoolers and their friends party hard on the weekends while dealing with love, affairs and family issues. (Drama) (DVD)
Born to Race Fast Track: starring Brett Davern and Beau Mischoff- After winning a scholarship to Fast Lane Racing Academy, Danny finds himself competing against some of the best young drivers in the world for 1 of 2 spots racing for a prestigious company. (Drama/Action) (DVD)
