Marathon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police advise of the following Road Opening:
Location: Highway 17 between Terrace Bay and Marathon
Re-Opened: 01 Dec 2014 @ 0200 hrs.
Please do not call O.P.P. Provincial Communication Centres for road advisory updates or road condition information.

MARATHON, ON – Hwy 17 Between Terrace Bay and Marathon is closed, again. Due to poor icy roads hwy 17 From Terrace Bay to Marathon in both directions has been closed. 1808hrs [6:08PM].

MARATHON, ON – OPP advise that Highway 17 between Terrace Bay and Marathon has been closed again. Hwy 17 has been closed in both directions between Terrace Bay and Marathon due to icy roads especially hills.

MARATHON, ON – Highway 17 from Terrace Bay to White River has been completely reopened at 1313hrs. There should be no closures ongoing on Highway 17 at this time.

MARATHON, ON – Highway 17 has now been closed to traffic in both directions between Terrace Bay and White River due to heavy ice conditions on the roadways.
