MANITOUWADGE, ON – The Royal Canadian Legion Evan Hill Branch 242 led the Remembrance Day Parade and Ceremony in Manitouwadge under cloudy but unseasonably mild temperatures.  Legion President Ron Sheppard led the parade to the community cenotaph where he laid a wreath before the procession, which included the Legion Colour Guard, OPP members, the Mayor and council members and students from Manitouwadge’s 3 elementary schools and the High School, continued to the Recreation Centre for the ceremony.

At the Recreation Centre, Legion member Lew Budgell was master of ceremonies, directing those gathered to stand for 2 minutes of silence prior to the laying of wreaths.  High School students laid those wreaths dedicated by families or businesses without representatives in attendance.
