ASSAULT COMPLAINT RESULTS IN CHARGES
WAWA, ON – November 10th, 2011 Superior East OPP Wawa detachment were called to a residence on McKinley Ave in Wawa at 10:28 pm for an assault. Police investigation led to the arrest of 40-year-old Ronald DERASP of Wawa. He was charged with assault and is scheduled to appear in Wawa Criminal Court on January 9th, 2012.
BREAK AND ENTER
WAWA, ON = November 14th, 2011 a break and enter to a shed at a cottage near Hawk Junction was reported to the Superior East OPP Wawa detachment. The break in is believed to have occurred sometime between November 6th and 14th. Stolen from the property was a Husqvarna
chainsaw and 4 fishing rods, total value approximately $325. Anyone with any information is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers.
