Wawa Goose Seniors Club News: Goose Droppings

Thank you all for the lovely orders, so numerous, for turkey pies!!!

We have had one very busy week getting 66 large pies and 121 small pies made and into the freezer at the Drop In or at home.  We used up most of 47 kilos of turkey, 30 pounds of potatoes, 3 bunches of celery, 8 pounds of carrots, 23 pounds of shortening, 25 pounds of flour and mounds of elbow grease to do it.  And that is only about one third of the product needed to fill the orders.

We had problems doing even that amount of product at one time given our space for cooling and freezing.  Consequently, given the number of orders and our limited space, we have a rather nice problem:  we will need to devote two more weeks to production.

We can and will get all your orders filled, just not as expeditiously as we had planned.  The last of the pies will not be available until Wednesday, November 6, 2013.

We will also need our marvelous helpers one more session.  If any of you could join us on the Tuesday, November 5 or Wednesday, November 6 the help would be greatly appreciated.
