HIGH RISK OFFENDER NOTIFICATION – Manitouwadge

MANITOUWADGE, ON –The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), in accordance with the Police Services Act, is releasing information regarding a high-risk offender now residing in Manitouwadge Ontario.

OPP is advising residents of the area that 74-year-old Gordon Joseph OLIVER has been released from custody and is now residing on Otter Avenue in Manitouwadge, Ontario.  He has previous convictions for Sexual Interference, Invitation to Sexual Touching and Incest.

OLIVER recently completed a custodial sentence, and is now released.  He is bound by a number of conditions which include; have no contact with named individuals, not to have any contact directly or indirectly with any person under the age of 16 years unless in the direct company of that person’s legal guardian, abstain from the consumption of non-prescription drugs, notifying the Manitouwadge OPP of any change of address, notifying the Manitouwadge OPP of any travel plans and check in with them upon his return.

OLIVER is also prohibited from attending a public park, playground, daycare, school ground, community centre or swimming area where persons under the age of 14 years are present or can reasonably be expected to be present. In addition, OLIVER is also prohibited from using a computer for the purposes of communicating with a person under the age of fourteen years. OLIVER is also prohibited from possessing any firearm, cross bow, restricted weapon, ammunition or explosive substance as defined by the Criminal Code.

OLIVER is described as male, white 5’7”, 215 pounds, grey hair (balding) and blue eyes. Photograph at left.
