opp-fooddriveGREENSTONE, ON – Saturday December 7, 2013, members from the Greenstone Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment hosted the fifth annual “Stuff-a-Cruiser” event in Geraldton and Longlac, ON. The event was another success with one police vehicle being filled with non-perishable food donations and toys for the Harvest Cupboard Food Bank located in Geraldton. Superior North Emergency Medical Services (EMS) assisted police with this event.

The Harvest Cupboard services the whole Municipality of Greenstone including the outlying areas of Beardmore, Caramat, and Nakina. The Food Bank has seen an influx of need over the past few years, especially around the Holiday Season.

The Greenstone OPP would like to thank everyone who participated in the event. The Greenstone OPP would also like to send a special thank you to our major sponsors at Extra Foods in Geraldton and Valu-Mart in Longlac.
