LONGLAC, ON – December 10, 2013 a search warrant was executed at a home in Longlac by members of the Drug Enforcement Section, Greenstone Community Drug Action Team (CDAT), Anishinabek Police Service (APS), Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service (NAPS), and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Greenstone Detachment.
Police located an amount of cannabis marihuana, morphine, and drug paraphernalia inside the residence.
Police arrested and charged the following individuals for offences under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) and the Criminal Code (CC):
- Gary HOOPER, 37 years of age, from Longlac Ontario was charged with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Schedule II Marihuana,
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance
- Fail to Comply with a Justice of the Peace Recognizance.
- Chad HOOPER, 18 years of age, from Geraldton Ontario was charged with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Schedule II Marihuana
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance.
- Adrienne FORTIER, a 26 year old female from Longlac Ontario was charged with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Schedule II Marihuana
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance.
The two male accused were held in custody awaiting video court December 11, 2013.
