MANITOUWADGE, ON – On Febuary 26, EPFM (École publique Franco-Manitou) students enjoyed three very fun outdoor activities, in the school yard, to celebrate winter carnival.

The first was a race, there was two teems in each class.each class had two teams compete. The game was like egg on a spoon, but instead of an egg there was an ice cube. The second game was, a bean bag relay. The first person threw a bean bag towards the goal line, ran back to tag the next person who then ran to take their throw of the bean bag towards the goal line, this continued until a team member through the bean bag across the goal line at which point throwing changed direction returning towards the start. The first team to throw the bean bag back to starting point won. The last was a super cool activity! Each team had a flying saucer (typically used for sliding), one player sat in the saucer while their partner was pulling, at the midpoint, the players switched roles.

After all the games, we had certainly earned our snack break – hot chocolate and a variety of chip flavours to enjoy. It sure was a good day!
