NIPIGON, ON – June 5, 2013 at approximately 8:50 a.m. members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Nipigon Detachment responded to a single motor vehicle collision at Hwy 11 and 17, Township of Red Rock. The driver of an east bound tractor trailer unit lost control, entered the south ditch causing the unit to roll onto the passenger side.
The 67 year old male driver of Waterloo, Ontario and the 23 year old passenger of Kitchener, Ontario were transported to hospital in Nipigon for injuries sustained in the collision.
The driver of the tractor trailer unit was charged with Careless Driving, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
