Egg delivery by Emeraude & Lloyd
Emeraude was really looking forward to sharing her dyed egg creations with family and friends. We had made some more little ‘chickies in egg shells’ after supper even using a few of the 1/2 shells we had dyed earlier in the day (after returning from Lloyd’s school) and she was even more specific about what she wanted them to look like when she knew which cousin they were for.
We had learned that the Uncles and there families would not be in town on Sunday and Emeraude was adamant about wanting them to have the gifts she made on time so, we decided to put them into baskets with a little straw and some chocolate eggs (one of them also had little chocolate bunnies) and I wrote up my neice (Merc)’s card as well. Lloyd said he would like to go say hello too so I helped him and Emeraude packed the baskets (and Emeraude) into the wagon and they were off on their way to ‘snob hill’ (back when I was a kid the houses on that cul de sac were owned by mine managers and such and the name always stuck lol; I remember my brother laughing when he bought the house commenting that “who would’ve thought we {he & his wife} would be living on snob hill!”lol).
It was so cute, the baskets (wish I would’ve taken a photo of them, good things we have a couple more to do for her cousins on her Dad’s side {he can’t be bothered to nurture/maintain those connections in spite of the relatives he has left in town being great people and one of the ‘great-aunts’ having a son born the same weekend as Emeraude and a daughter the same age as his 1/2 brother that he has known since she was a baby – both great kids and the mother is super nice/great parent/sweet aunt} tomorrow so I’ll take a few photos of those) were smaller than most but nice and bright, and she was so proud of having dyed the eggs & made the chicky crafts herself!
