Turn off the screens!

Ok, so the article for Turn off the screens week is giving me a hard time… I’d love to blame it on Jackie from whom I’m waiting for a couple numbers but really can’t as I could, in theory, write it out with fake numbers and then just fill them in when I have them. In theory, LOL, I could… In reality my brain just isn’t cooperating.

SO… I thought that for those of you who read here looking for pics & news about stuff going on in town, I’d at least post some of the photos from yesterday evening’s Fire Department Obstacle Course.  They had a good turn out (especially since it was FREEZING out) with 57 kids putting there names in (it was free, they just had to participate) for some cool prizes. Emeraude won a bubble kit that she had been admiring at the Bargain Shop for weeks 🙂 and when we arrived home after (soccer, pick up playground from Sears – thanks Madelaine!, Firefighter fun, hospital, BUBBLES, bed was our evening from 17h45 – 21h30 😐 EEK so late!) she & I made a big, fun mess in her room playing with them (the bubbles).

Wishing I was heading out to White Lake with the kids right now… Every other year our first camp out of the summer was in May but so far we haven’t gone… I’m still (since January) at the hospital every 4 hours and am VERY concerned that my doctor is NOT getting on me having a pump put in the way he says he is which is  infuriating to put it mildly. ANYHOW, for those of you lucky enough to be heading out, travel safely, think of us and say some prayers that I get out there with my kids soon! If you have a good doctor to share (must understand that people have a right to quality of life and making decisions about their own healthcare) please, email me his/her contact info asap!

Here are some of the photos from yesterday evening:
