Easy-Peasy, Super-Breezy summer craft!

5233 09_01_2008Found this one in the current issue of Chirp Magazine and had been wanting to try it while camping but the opportunity did not present itself until a few nights ago when we had some time before bed. It is a kite AND it is quite foolproof and flies pretty well and very easily.

this_month_in_chirpIt was so quick and easy, could easily be done with things you have on hand at home.

What you’ll need:

  • rectangle paper
  • crepe paper or ribbon for tail
  • tape
  • craft or popsicle stick
  • scissors
  • string

Fold the paper in 1/2 lengthwise; fold corners to make tail, tape stick across front where point is, tape crepe tail to back & string to front… TahDah! You’ve made a kite.

Grab the string and Run, Run, Run!!
