Happy Thanksgiving!

In Canada we’re celebrating Thanksgiving this weekend, my kids and I enjoyed turkey yesterday thanks to my Mom and we might eat the left overs again tonight as the three of us are crazy about turkey lol…

Life can get so busy, even in a small place like Manitouwadge,  that it is easy sometimes to over look the little things that really make life specail so, on this day of pausing to smell the roses, what are you thankful for? For me its my kids, I feel so blessed to have them, that they are healthy and we live in a safe place with a nice house and plenty of food.  Lloyd and I went through very difficult financial times when he was younger and these days I’m also thankful that I can more easily afford to have him in the activities he enjoys. I’m thankful that though Emeraude’s father no longer wants to contribute to her activities (or even necessaries like the dentist) I am still finding ways to make the extra money I need to avoid her missing out on any necessities. I am thankful that my extended family lives in the same community as we do, though we don’t see them often we are able to for kids’ birthdays and such events without needing to travel which is awesome… I am thankful for the care I am receiving from my family doctor and that he is now my family doctor (he seems to be sincerely understanding of people’s need to live, work and have quality of life).

So, what are you thankful for today? What about the not so obvious things like being thankful when your kids drag mud through the house being thankful that we are in a country where they can play and be kids or simpler yet that they have good healthy legs to run through the mud with in the first place.

Whatever it is that makes you thankful, enjoy it today! wishing everyone safe hunting, safe travels and plenty of good food, Happy Thanksgiving!
