Pretend play is so important for kids, it helps them learn who they are, who they may want to become, emulate those who are role models as well as experiment with characters they may not understand (remember playing cops & robbers when you were young? though many of us played robbers we never actually became criminals, that was a way to understand the world around us.  I know that I never liked being ‘locked up’ when we played, something I remembered in my more trying teen years lol)…

So, my kids love to play dress-up. Lloyd not as much now that he is older but occasionally Emeraude will still convince him to be her ‘night in shining armor’ when she is the princess or her ‘wicked step sister’ when she is Cinderella lol. Here are some of Emeraude’s more recent dress up plays…
