BROWN ANNOUNCES AN ADDITIONAL $3.1 MILLION OF CAPITAL
FUNDING TO ALGOMA MANOR REDEVLOPMENT

Ontario government supports rural health care in Algoma Manor

 

Lou Madonna, ADMA President thanks Algoma-Manitoulin MPP Mike Brown for the $3.1 million in funding for Algoma Manor.

Brown praised Algoma’s municipalities for their $2.7 contribution and local fundraising support for approximately $1 million.

Brown said “I would like to acknowledge the hard-working and caring staff of Algoma Manor for their dedication to the residents and to thank the ongoing efforts of the many volunteers, family and friends who make the Manor truly a home.”

Brown was joined by the President of the Algoma District Municipal Association, Reeve Lou Madonna of Prince Township for this significant announcement. Madonna thanked the twenty one municipalities for their support and praised the many leaders that have worked so hard to make this day a reality. “This is good news for the families of Algoma District,” said Madonna.

:  Mike Brown, MPP, Algoma-Manitoulin, is pleased to announce that the government of Ontario is investing an additional $3.1 million in capital funding for the redevelopment of Algoma Manor. This increases Ontario’s support for the $15.3 million project to $12.6 million. The new Algoma Manor will provide quality long-term health care to 96 residents in Thessalon.
