Young entrepreneurs take note!

SECFDC Youth Business Plan Challenge 2010

Young Entrepreneurs have much to gain through participation in the SECFDC 2010 Challenge!

Superior East Community Futures Development CorporationSECFDC) invites local High School students from the Superior East Region to participate in the Youth Business Plan Challenge 2010, March 1, 2010 to April 30. There are cash prizes to be won thanks to our major sponsors, Brookfield Renewable Power, North Superior Forest Community Corporation, Algoma Workforce Investment Committee (AWIC) and the NorthernOntario Heritage Fund.

Students are challenged to come up with a business idea and make a business plan which you then submit to SECFDC to be judged against other submissions. This contest is a great opportunity for young entrepreneurs to learn about making and submitting business plans and could open doors for the future.  Winners will be invited to an awards ceremony to be presented with a plaque and cash award in recognition of their efforts.

Business Plans must be received no later than April 30th, 2010. More information available from your local secondary school or Superior East CFDC (see contact below) at (705) 856-1105 or 1-800-387-5776.
