ATV Club prepares for 1st

Pictured is the President of the Dubreuilville ATV Club, Danny Vallieres,  as he wraps up final details of the club’s upcoming Geocache Event, the first of it’s kind for this Northshore Club. 

 

Club President Danny Vallieres is looking forward adding this new event to the club’s list of regular activities “Geocaching is new to the club and anticipation of the event is causing quite the buzz both around town and on Facebook” said Vallieres adding that “If their is adequate participation throughout the week [April  16th – 25th] will allow us to add the ATV Geocache to our growing list of annual events and subsequently offer even bigger prizes in the future”.  Of course the prizes being offered at the event are nothing to scuff at, a Genmate 1000watt Generator or Registration for the Father’s Day Fish Derby (winner’s choice) , are up for grabs as well as an attendance prize for kids under 15 years of age; each successful cache discovery qualifies participant for one prize draw entry.

Vallieres will be accepting registrations Friday morning at the Quickee Mart in Dubreuilville or call Danny at 705-884-2049 or Luc at 705-884-2070 for additional information and to reserve your registration in this challenging event.

 Participants should have pen and paper for taking notes and hints for subsequent cashes ATVs will add to the fun but are not necessary.  A GPS is not necessary though it can help a lot; those not using global positioning systems should have a compass.  ATVs are not mandatory, they just add to the fun! However, some form of transportation is recommended to assist in covering the significant distances between the five cache stations which have been prepared.

The Dubreuilville ATV Club welcomes all Northshore ATV and outdoor enthusiasts to join them for this awesome family event – will Dubreuilville ATV Club members reign supreme in the ATV Geocache Challenge or will someone from a

Attendance throughout the week is not necessary, an individual or team could potentially locate all five cashes in one day. Presence is required Sunday, the 25th of April at 3pm however as this is when a winner will be chosen from among all successful entries.  Don’t miss this fun family event and your chance to win a new Genmate 1000Kwatt Generator or Registration for the Father’s Day Fish Derby!

Dubreuilville ATV Club Geocashe Participation Guidelines:

 

What you need:

§         Pen and paper for taking notes, keeping track of hints for next cache and writing you name in the box

What is provided:

  • There are 5 stations (cache) to be found, each consists of a small gold box with card inside to write your name

 

What to do:

  • Sign your name on card in gold box (cache)
  • Be sure to return card to box, close box & place e as it was found
  • Take note of coordinates next station (cache)

 

PLEASE NOTE:
If you are participating throughout the week, keep cache locations to yourself!Your odds of winning decrease each time someone else successfully identifies a
cache (and it just ruins the fun!)
