MISSING FISHERMEN SAFE AND SOUND 

(WAWA, ON.) – On Sunday April 18, 2010 at approximately 8:45 pm Superior East OPP at Wawa received a report that two fishermen were overdue in returning from the Frater Road area near Agawa Bay, 85 kilometres south of Wawa.  The Superior East OPP with assistance of OPP Emergency Response Team members and an OPP helicopter began a search of the area.      On April 19, 2010 in the early afternoon the two subjects were able to walk out of the area to Highway 17 and reported that they were in good condition.  It was learned that the two had missed a turn on the railway tracks they had been walking on due to darkness and were forced to spend the night in the bush. The two men from Sault Ste Marie, Ontario are now enroute back home.
