Drinking Mother Charged with impaired driving

OPP ARREST AND CHARGE IMPAIRED DRIVERS OVER WEEKEND

(THUNDER BAY, ON) On Saturday, May 15th, 2010 at approximateley 12:25 am (25 after midnight), a Highway Safety Division Officer ws on patrol in the araea of Highway 11/17 and Oliver Road, when he bserved a 2003 Lincoln Navigator driving erratically as the edrivere enteered th South bound collector ramp off OliverRoad and drive Southon Highway 11/17.

The Officer stopped the veheicle and upon speaking with the driver, the Officer observed the driver to have obvious signs of impairment.  The driver’s 9 year old daughter was a passenger in the vehicle.

A 35 year old female driver from Thunder Bay was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vechicle and Drive Over 80 mgs.  The driver was found to be almost three times over the legal limit.

She is to appear in Provincial Court on July 7th, 2010 to answer to the charges.

On Sunday, May 16th at approximately 2:15am, Officers were conducting a RIDE spot-check on James Street, when an Officer observed a a2008 Pontiac slowly makee its way towards the spotcheck.  Subsequently the 30 year old male driver was arrested and charged for Impaired Operation by Drug.

He is to appear in Provincial Court on July 28th
