IMPAIRED DRIVER DUBREUILVILLE

(WAWA, ON.) – On May 29, 2010 at 10:46 pm Superior East OPP at Wawa received a report from Ministry of Natural Resources Conservation Officers at Parc Industriel Road, Huotari Township northeast of Dubreuilville, advising of a possible impaired driver.  The MNR officers had noted a male driving erratically and when stopped a smell of an alcoholic beverage was noted and he showed signs of impairment.   Superior East OPP members attended the scene and the subject was subsequently arrested and escorted to Dubreuilville OPP office for breath tests.  Francis Richard NOEL age 24 of CHILLIWACK, BC stands charged with the following Criminal Code offences;

(1)   Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle

(2)   Exceed 80 milligrams Blood Alcohol Content.

He will appear in Wawa Criminal Court on November 15, 2010 to answer to the charges.

POLICE SEIZE OXYCODONE

(HORNEPAYNE, ON.) –  On May 30, 2010 Superior East OPP in Hornepayne along with the Kapuskasing OPP Drug Unit checked a black Chev Avalanche on Spruce Street.  As a result of investigation two adults in the vehicle were arrested for possession of Oxycodone for the purpose of trafficking.  A large quantity of Oxycodone was seized with an estimated street value of $18, 580.   BATISSE, Omer and 59 of OSHAWA, Ontario and Kathleen TAYLOR age 50 of CALSTOCK, Ontario each stand charged with;

(1)   Possession of Schedule 1 drugs

(2)   Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Schedule 1 drugs

(3)   Trafficking Schedule 1 drugs

The vehicle, a quantity of cash; as well as other related items were seized in relation to the offence.  Both subjects will appear in Hornepayne criminal court on August 19, 2010 to respond to the charges.

IMPAIRED DRIVER CHAPLEAU

(CHAPLEAU, ON.) – On May 28, 2010 at 11:52 Superior East OPP at Chapleau had occasion to observe a green Plymouth Voyageur being operated in an erratic manner on Pine Street by a female driver.  Police checked the driver and as a result found her to show obvious signs of impairment.  She was arrested and escorted to Chapleau OPP office for breath tests.  Mabel BAIN age 47 of CHAPLEAU, Ont stands charged with the following Criminal Code offences;

(1)   Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle

(2)   Exceed 80 milligrams of blood/alcohol

(3)   Breach of Probation Order

She will appear in Chapleau criminal court at a later date to answer to the charges.
