Poohfest Recognized in Top 100

Each year, Festivals & Events Ontario recognizes and celebrates the many top-notch festivals and events our province currently enjoys through the annual Top 100 Ontario Festivals program (formerly the Top 50). The Top 100 Ontario Festivals program acknowledges excellence in the province’s festivals and events industry and the Top 100 designation carries the highest visibility of all of FEO’s awards programs. 

Pictured are members of the 2010 Poohfest committee proudly displaying the certificate they received from ViaRail who sponsors the annual Top 100 Ontario Festivals list.  White River’s 2010 Poohfest came in 59th; impressive for a small Northern Ontario town when there are thousands of festivals which take place in Ontario every year.   

Poohfest has some great company, other festivals that made the list  were Toronto Fringe Festival, Canadian Tulip Festival, Ottawa’s Canada Day Celebrations, Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition, Sault Ste. Marie’s Bushplane Days 2010 and Voyageur Winter Carnival in Thunder Bay which placed 98^th.
