Golf Course Receives Grant for Sand Trap Renovations

Superior North CFDC  Grant for Sand Trap Renovations

Manitouwadge Golf Association is taking advantage of warmer temperatures to continue work they started in late April, assisting the township with renovations to sand traps on the Manitouwadge Golf Course.

Funds for the project were provided by Superior North Community Futures Development Corporation (SNCFDC), a total grant of $3 500 which had been brought to the golf association’s attention by the local EDC.

After applying for funding at the beginning of February, notice was received just a few weeks later that they had been approved.

Association President, Steve Wood said they hoped to complete the project by July “There is much more involved than most people, even golfers, may realize but things are progressing as planned and should be finished in time for prime golf season when many tourists come to enjoy our course”.
