by Karina Hunter

Many businesses in Northwestern Ontario are well known for their support of local non-profit organizations, from donations for prizes at fundraising events, to sales donations to volunteer hours put in by busy business owners sitting on committees or working at events; businesses in your community are making a difference!

Pizza Hut in Marathon is among those giving time, efforts and dollars to support a variety of non-profit organizations.

On Monday, June 28th 15% of sales at the Marathon Pizza Hut sales will go to the Marathon Humane Society which works diligently to help abandoned and forgotten animals become healthy that they may find loving homes in which to live. Show your supporot of the Marathon Humane Society on Monday by dropping by the Pizza Hut to buy lunch, supper or a snack, you’ll be helping a worthy cause while satisfying your appetite – what could be easier?

Each of the animals pictured here are up for adoption – call the Marathon Humane Society at 229-6306 for more information and please remember, pet ownership is a privilege that comes with responsibilities, have your pet spayed or neutered and be a responsible pet owner.

As Brad Pattison, host of the popular “At the End of My Leash” likes to tell people, “You chose the pet, the pet didn’t choose you!”
