Canada Day in Manitouwadge

Unexpected difficulties do not dampen spirits of Manitouwadge residents

Though there were definately some hiccups in the festivities at Lion’s beach, including a shortage of food at the BBQ, technical difficulties with the audio equipment and promotion of an act that had prior commitments; many residents came out to celebrate our nation’s birthday in Manitouwadge and all made the best of sunny skies to make memories with family and friends.

The Sandcastle Contest was a resounding success, (unfortunately the Twp was unable to provide promissed results) with many children of all ages working diligently right though to judging time.

The Wasted Mammoths did not dissapoint, putting on a great show with musical selections to suit all tastes and even continued to entertain attendees well passed the advertised 8pm end time.

The bouncy castle and bouncy jousting ring were a HUGE hit with the kids, who were thrilled to have these set up right on the lawns of the Lion’s Beach.

HAPPY CANADA DAY!
