Construction ongoing in Pays Plat

PAYS PLAT, ON – Thursday, July 22^nd, contractor Monty Romeo, owner of Burmet Northern Contracting Ltd from Thunder Bay, was on site at what was, not long ago, the Pic River skating outdoor skating rink.

Romeo explained that it is hoped much of the building’s structure will be completed by the end of August with the project being entirely completed by September.  Discussions are ongoing regarding what will be housed in the Community Arena though it is speculated these will include, in addition to the skating rink, a basketball court, change rooms and possible concessions area.

This construction isn’t the only activity in Pays Plat, with their Annual Pow Wow beginning today it will no doubt be a very busy comunity this weekend!
