Mixed Open Golf Welcomes Sunshine
Manitouwadge Mixed Open Tournament
MANITOUWADGE, ON – Saturday July 24th, bad weather which had been threatening the Open Annual Mixed Golf tournament, at the Manitouwadge Golf Course, failed to arrive; the sun and clouds came out, providing ideal golfing weather.
Sixteen (16) teams, six (6) from Marathon and ten (10) from Manitouwadge participated in the tournament, organized by local golf enthusiast Gail Isaacs. Though the $10,000.00 hole-in-one prize on Hole #3 was not won, there were some very impressive plays none the less including Pat Tuomi’s Eagle (2 under par) on Hole #5! Congratulations Pat!
A good time was had by the participants who ended their day enjoying a steak dinner at the Clubhouse.

1st place, Pat and Terry Tuomi , Manitouwadge Scoring 74;
2nd place, Julie and Mark Amadeo, Marathon Scoring 76;
3rd place, Nancy and Eric Esarte, Manitouwadge Scoring 76 with a count back.
Net Division Winners
1st – Sandy and Guy Houde, Marathon, Scoring 48 ;
2nd – Rick Dumas and Leah Ritchie, Marathon, Scoring 52
3rd – Mike Dumas and Linda Michano, Marathon, Scoring 54.
