911 Problems to East
911 SERVICE DOWN HIGHWAY 101
WAWA, ON – The OPP has been notified that due to a Bell Canada telephone outage east of Wawa, 911 service is presently out of service in the Hawk Junction, Missinaibi and Lochalsh areas. The OPP are increasing patrols in these areas during the outage and Bell expects service to be back up later in the day. A further release will be issued once services have been restored.
BELL PHONES DOWN IN CHAPLEAU
CHAPLEAU, ON – Superior East OPP in Chapleau has been advised that due to a technical malfunction BELL phone service, including 911, is not working in the Chapleau area. Cell service is still operating and in the case of an emergency residents may use their cellphones or attend the Chapleau Fire Hall. Further updates will follow.
