Current Hospital Staffer Becomes CEO

Newly appointed MGH CEO Jocelyn Bourgeoin

MANITOUWADGE GENERAL HOSPITAL

ANNOUNCEMENT

The Manitouwadge General Hospital Board of Directors wishes to advise that at the Annual General Meeting of Members held on September 28, 2010, they accepted the resignation of their Interim Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Judith Harris.

In her letter of resignation Mrs. Harris stated that it was her honour and privilege to provide Interim C.E.O. Services for the past nineteen months.  Because the hospital was back in a surplus position she felt comfortable to advise that it was time to re-retire.

Following this announcement, Mr. Kirkpatrick, Board Chair announced that the position of C.E.O. had been offered to and accepted by Mr. Jocelyn Bourgoin.

Mr. Bourgoin is currently the Director of Organizational Effectiveness and Planning and has held this position since April 2007.  He was also the first Director of Superior North EMS and as such helped to establish this service in the Region.  He is very familiar with sharing services.  He holds a Certificate in Health Care Administration from the University of Saskatchewan.

Mr. Bourgoin is a long time resident of Manitouwadge.  He brings a strong background in leadership  to the Manitouwadge General Hospital.

The Board looks forward to a long and productive working relationship with Mr. Bourgoin.
