OLOL Weekly News

Already, we have completed two weeks of school, and things are happening!

One of the Junior Kindergarten students who worked so hard she tuckered herself right out.

By Thursday of the first week of school, all the JK students had been integrated into the OLOL school family.  They are now ready to begin their careers as life-long learners.  Already, they know the routines, some prayers, a few songs, and even some French words. The Junior Kindergarten program keeps our youngest students very involved all day long. They work so hard, that some of them have actually fallen asleep during the afternoon quiet time….

Curriculum night

Thursday, September 16th, parents were invited to the school for Curriculum Night.  After a prayer and a brief introduction, parents went to their children’s classrooms to learn about the curriculum and the teachers’ expectations of his/her students.

Friday, September 17th, we had our first school mass for the year.  Father Manuel was very happy to see all his OLOL friends, and stressed the importance of knowledge.  He ended the mass with a special blessing, asking God for a very successful school year for all.

At the end of the day, we had our first Sock-Hop and dance.  A good time was had by all.
