Letter to the Editor, Thank you Manitouwadge

GREAT ELECTION COVERAGE & THANK YOU TO THE RESIDENTS OF MANITOUWADGE

Dear Karina,

As a resident of Manitouwadge and newly elected Councillor, I would like to give you a BIG thanks for all the time and effort you have put into covering the elections this year.  From giving candidates an opportunity to provide video interviews, coverage of Candidates Night, to your LiveStream footage of the election results, the many countless miles you travel, and the amount of hours you put into making OntarioNewsNorth.com the region’s first access point for daily online news, THANK YOU!

As part of the new team of Council elected, I know I will have my work cut out for me. There will be a learning curve for all of us as we get to know each other’s leadership styles and what our role is in the community.  I appreciate everyone who exercised their democratic right to vote last evening and was impressed by the voter turnout across the region; we all need to be congratulated for making informed decisions and getting out to vote because it demonstrates how much people care about our Towns! How inspiring!

December 1st will be a new beginning and Council as a whole must demonstrate solid leadership and learn to work together, putting aside any differences or opinions so that we can continue to retain the confidence of the people who voted us into office.  The PEOPLE of this town are a priority. I am humbled and appreciative of each vote I recieved and welcome your confidence in me for this term.  I believe we have a solid team in place that will work well together to achieve some positive results for our community in the next four years and I look forward to being a part of that progress.

Once again, Great job, Karina!

Natalie Labbee, Councillor Elect
