MPS Students Qualify for Regional Chess Championships

MANITOUWADGE, ON – Recently a very exciting Chess Tournament was held at Manitouwadge Public School.  An impressive number of chess playing students have been coming out early each morning to hone their skills in front of the chess boards in the library and the practice paid off! All of the students who participated in the tournament, qualified to represent Manitouwadge at this weekend’s  Northern Ontario Schools’ Regional Chess Championships in Thunder  Bay  (Saturday, October 23rd).   

Congratulations to everyone for being such dedicated players and once again making a positive impact on yourselves and those around you.
