MANITOUWADGE PUBLIC SCHOOL REMEMBERS

MANITOUWADGE, ON – The students, staff, some parents and grandparents were honoured on Thursday to be able to pay tribute to a very well known Canadian.

Each year our students participate in the Annual Terry Fox School Run by taking part in a parade through certain areas around town.   They become aware of the endurance of  Terry Fox and how much his sacrifices have impacted the whole world.   Some of our students have been extra busy in these past weeks collecting money for donation towards the Terry Fox Foundation.  We were overwhelmed to realize that the students alone collected and contributed a whopping total of $1262.03 – and still counting!!!!

Once again our young people at MPS are demonstrating their humanitarian side and we know this is certainly an indication of the responsible young adults that we are preparing for the future.
