FORMER MARATHON RESIDENT CHARGED WITH SEXUAL OFFENCES

MARATHON, ON. – An investigation over the past several months by the Marathon Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in conjunction with the OPP North West Region Crime Unit and the OPP Child Exploitation Section has resulted in charges being laid against a former Marathon resident.

A 33 year old male, now living in Thunder Bay, was arrested and charged November 18, 2010 with:

  • Sexual Interference X 2
  • Sexual Exploitation X 2
  • Possessing Child Pornography
  • Indecent Act
  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
  • Fail to Attend Court

The accused is currently being held in custody at the Thunder Bay District Jail until his next court appearance in Thunder Bay November 25, 2010.

No names are being released in order to protect the identity of the victim.
