FREE GAMES WEEK Begins
MANITOUWADGE, ON – Free Games Week begins today, Monday, November 1st at the Recreation Centre Auditorium with Family Games Night from 5-7pm.
The events being offered by the Community Programming Department this week, including Ring Toss, Horseshoes, 10-Pin Bowling, Shuffleboard, Ladder Ball (a.k.a. Newfie-golf), and others, will allow residents an opportunity to try out these incredible activities at no cost before deciding which to register for through to May 2011. Though winter seems slow in arriving, the mercury will drop soon and what could be better, to help get you through the grey-skied winter months, than some regular physical activity, an opportunity to socialize with neighbours who might otherwise be staying indoors and of course a chance for those with children to allow them to unwind in the warmth of the community auditorium!
Students responsible for set-up, take down and facilitation of the programs will have registration forms on-hand to accomodate those with busy schedules by allowing them to register without needing to make an extra trip to the Township, this thanks to the foresight of organizer Shawna Patterson, Community Programmer recognizing that many families in Manitouwadge have working parents and busy schedules.
Please note Adult Badminton time has changed to accomodate Family Game Night in the hopes of welcoming those with younger children as well. Costs for these programs after this week will be $11.50 an individual and 28.25 a family, these include tax and are for the ENTIRE SEASON, through to May! Not just per night. What a deal!
