SCHREIBER, ON – Monday November 29, and Monday, December 3, 2010 Holy Angels School celebrated the first and second weeks of Advent. The first candle, the candle of Hope, was lit by C.J. and Nicholas Figliomeni. The students were welcomed with life size candles and a wreath created from real evergreen boughs. The celebration opened with the decorating of the Jesse Tree. Students from Gr. 1/2, 3/4 and 5/6 worked together to present.

The second candle, the candle of Peace, was lit by Sylvia Speziale, who is completing her teacher placement at Holy Angels. The school joined together and filled Jesus’ manger with hay. Each student had written an intention to Jesus on a strip of yellow paper. The Gr. 3/4 class did a wonderful job of presenting.
