OPP Seeking Assistance

FATAL COLLISION UPDATE – OPP SEEKING FURTHER ASSISTANCE
CHATHAM-KENT, ON –The Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) continues to investigate the fatal collision that occurred on the 401 Highway near, Kent Bridge Road at 6:04 p.m. on December 15, 2010.
A man age 58 and women age 60 of Highgate, Ontario both died in the crash. They were in an eastbound pickup truck that was struck by a westbound tractor trailer.
Further investigation has revealed that a set of commercial vehicle trailer tires came lose from a tractor-trailer that was on the 401 Highway near the collision location. The OPP would like to speak with the driver of that tractor-trailer. We are asking all owners and operators to check trailers and repair facilities to report similar repairs, since the collision.
