McGuinty Government Making Retirement Homes Safer For Seniors

Ontario has nominated five members for appointment to the Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority interim Board of Directors. Mary Catherine Lindberg would Chair the board and members would include: Madeline Edwards, Mathilde Gravelle Bazinet, Christopher Jodhan and Carla Peppler.
The Authority will license retirement homes, conduct inspections, and investigate complaints to enforce care and safety standards, and support the rights of residents.

The province is helping to ensure that retirement homes in Ontario are operated so that residents live with dignity and respect, making them safer, providing security and accessibility for seniors.
