Student Council Challenges School

MANITOUWADGE, ON – Manitouwadge High School’s Student Council has put out a challenge to the entire school, students and staff, to fill 5 shopping carts of non-perishable food for the Manitouwadge Food Bank.

Everyone is encouraged to bring in their non-perishable donations all week long; perhaps challenge yourself to bring something each day, or pick a snack each day that you toss into the shopping cart instead of eating, however you choose to make your contribution just make it! The challenge is ongoing, continuing until next Friday December 10th.

Good luck students and staff of MHS, don’t let your student council – or hungry neighbours in our community – down, get that food in to school by Friday!

From the Editor: Manitouwadge High School is not the only area school challenging students and staff to help their local food bank, Margaret Twomey Public School in Marathon has an ongoing challenge which continues until December 13th, trying to fill an OPP Suburban with non-perishables for the Marathon food bank! Congratulations to the students at both schools for remembering those in need during the holiday season, great job everyone!
